Exempts sales and use tax for construction materials used in Ely Housing Redevelopment Authority projects.

This bill exempts sales and use tax for materials and supplies used in the construction, reconstruction, upgrade, expansion, renovation, or remodeling of the Ely Housing Redevelopment Authority workforce housing project, Wilderness Escape, in the city of Ely. The exemption applies to purchases made between April 30, 2026, and January 1, 2028. A refund for the tax paid on these exempt items can be requested by the project owner, provided the tax was paid by a contractor, subcontractor, or builder. The refund must include a statement of the cost of the exempt items and the taxes paid.
