The bill establishes "Curl in Minnesota" special license plates for passenger automobiles, noncommercial one-ton pickup trucks, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles. Owners must pay a fee, registration tax, and contribute $30 annually to the Minnesota Curling Association. The funds support the association's account for curling facility maintenance. The commissioner of public safety must design the plates in consultation with the Minnesota Curling Association.
