Minnesota HF4554 amends the roster of arbitrators for peace officer grievances. The commissioner, in consultation with community and law enforcement stakeholders, will appoint a roster of six persons qualified by training and experience. These arbitrators must have familiarity with labor law, the grievance process, and the law enforcement profession, and experience in cultural competency, racism, implicit bias, and valuing community diversity. The appointments are effective immediately upon filing with the secretary of state.
