This bill reenacts the 2024 amendment to the definition of trigger activator, reenacts the 2024 changes to the crime of transferring a firearm to an ineligible person with certain amendments, and repeals the affirmative defense for transfers by family or household members. The reenactment applies retroactively from January 1, 2025, and August 1, 2024, respectively. The repeal of the affirmative defense is effective the day following final enactment.
