Minnesota HF4272 amends the election of a member's retirement annuity for deferred vested members. It allows members who terminated teaching service before June 30, 2025, to elect a retirement annuity calculated under subdivision 6, paragraph (e), as in effect on July 1, 2025, using a normal retirement age of 65. This change does not require the member to return to covered service on or after June 30, 2025, to be entitled to elect the retirement annuity.
