Employers of reemployed annuitants must make contributions to the Teachers Retirement fund.
Minnesota HF4162 amends the Teachers Retirement Association law to require employers of reemployed annuitants to make contributions to the teachers retirement fund. Specifically, employers must make contributions as specified in section 354.42, subdivision 3, during the period of employment to which this section applies. The bill also mandates that reemployed annuitants cannot contribute to or earn further service credit in the Teachers Retirement Association. The changes are effective the day following final enactment.
