The bill authorizes the city of Lanesboro to impose a local sales and use tax of up to one-half of one percent. The tax revenue will fund the rehabilitation and improvements to Sylvan Park and the Trunk Highway 250 road improvement project. The tax expires 30 years after imposition or when sufficient funds are collected. Any remaining funds after the tax expires will be placed in the city's general fund.
