Minnesota HF3845 amends state election laws to require voters who register on election day to cast provisional ballots. Voters unable to provide a Minnesota driver's license number, Minnesota state identification number, or Social Security number must sign a provisional ballot signature envelope and cast a provisional ballot. The county auditor or municipal clerk must process each provisional ballot signature envelope within seven days after the election. If the voter's eligibility can be verified, the provisional ballot signature envelope must be accepted.
