Minnesota HF3068 requires staffing services to pay employees for canceled assignments.
Minnesota HF3068 amends state law to mandate that staffing services must compensate employees for shifts or days they reasonably expected to work but were canceled by the staffing service. This applies regardless of whether the assignment was ultimately completed. The definition of "staffing service" is provided in section 268.035, subdivision 21d. This change takes effect following final enactment.
