Minnesota bill expands the list of essential employees to include more public safety and health care workers.
The bill amends Minnesota Statutes to expand the definition of "essential employee." It includes firefighters, peace officers, 911 system and police professionals, public safety dispatchers, medical examiners, and health care professionals among others. For state employees, essential employees now include all law enforcement, public safety radio communications operators, and health care professionals.
