Minnesota HF2666 establishes snowmobile special license plates, which the commissioner must issue to applicants who own a passenger automobile, noncommercial one-ton pickup truck, motorcycle, or recreational vehicle. The commissioner must adopt a suitable plate design in consultation with the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association. The bill also allows for the transfer of special plates to another qualified vehicle registered to the same individual for a $5 fee. Special plates are exempt from certain fees.
