The bill establishes the Minnesota Volunteerism Innovation Board to promote high-quality, results-driven volunteerism. The board will analyze current volunteerism capacity, administer grants to increase volunteer efforts, and report annually to the legislature and governor. The board will also adopt rules for grant applications and evaluations. The board consists of 11 voting members appointed by the governor, with a representative of the administrative support contractor serving as a nonvoting secretary. The board will expire on June 30, 2030.
