Minnesota HF258 clarifies the process for notifying the revisor of statutes about federal approval of legislative enactments.
Minnesota HF258 amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256.01, by adding a subdivision to clarify the notification process for federal approval of legislative enactments. The commissioner must notify the revisor of statutes of any provisions with an effective date contingent on federal approval and the date when federal approval is obtained. By July 1 and September 1 each year, the commissioner must report to the revisor, the director of the House Research Department, and the director of Senate Counsel, Research and Fiscal Analysis, listing all provisions enacted since the preceding July 1.
