The bill removes the expiration date for the local lodging tax in Plymouth, Minnesota. The city council can impose a tax of up to three percent on gross receipts from lodging, in addition to the existing lodging tax. The total tax cannot exceed six percent. Revenue from the tax must be used for capital improvements to public recreational facilities and community marketing, with two-thirds dedicated to these purposes and the remaining one-third used for the same purposes as the existing lodging tax.
