Minnesota HF2104 eliminates the prohibition on cannabis advertising on billboards.
Minnesota HF2104 amends state statutes to eliminate the prohibition on certain advertising on billboards for cannabis businesses. The bill repeals Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 342.64, subdivision 2, which previously restricted outdoor advertisements for cannabis products if 30 percent or more of the audience was under 21 years of age. It also amends section 342.64, subdivision 3, to allow outdoor advertisements for hemp businesses, provided they do not reference lower-potency hemp edibles. Cannabis and hemp businesses can still erect up to two fixed outdoor signs on their property.
