Modifies the Board of Animal Health by expanding its membership and altering appointment procedures.
Expands the Board of Animal Health to eleven members, appointed by the governor with senate consent. Requires three members to be livestock producers, three to be licensed veterinarians, one to be a tribal member experienced in animal husbandry, and four to represent the public. The board must include at least two members who are not employed in agriculture, veterinary medicine, the pet industry, or related fields. The board will elect a president and vice-president, and the governor will appoint a licensed veterinarian as executive director. Effective July 1, 2026.
