Delays prohibitions on PFAS-containing firefighting foam at airport hangars until January 1, 2028.

The bill amends Minnesota Statutes to delay prohibitions on the manufacture, sale, distribution, or use of class B firefighting foam containing PFAS chemicals at airport hangars until January 1, 2028. This delay applies until the state fire marshal determines that the Federal Aviation Administration has provided policy guidance on the transition to fluorine-free firefighting foam, a fluorine-free product is included in the FAA's Qualified Product Database, and the product is commercially available in sufficient quantities.
