Minnesota HF1458 amends the standards for required education and experience for certified public accountants and establishes reciprocity for licensed public accountants. Until July 1, 2030, a person must meet either the existing requirements or new requirements to be granted a certificate. After July 1, 2030, the board must grant a certificate if the person meets the new requirements. The bill also allows out-of-state accountants to practice in Minnesota if their qualifications are substantially equivalent to Minnesota's requirements. This section expires July 1, 2030.
