Allows certain employees to purchase their surplus badges from the state.
Minnesota HF1255 allows the commissioner to sell surplus badges to state troopers, commercial vehicle inspectors, or Capitol security officers, whether they are currently employed or retired. The sale price must be the fair market value determined by the commissioner. A surplus badge is defined as one bearing any seal before May 11, 2024, or the badge of a retired person bearing any seal.
