Minnesota HF123 creates a grant program for local government units, federally recognized Tribal entities, and state agencies participating in the statewide Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) system. The program allocates $250,000,000 for purchasing or upgrading portable and mobile radios and related equipment that is interoperable with the ARMER system. Each recipient must match at least five percent of the grant with nonstate funds.
