Establishes a fund and grant program to support community violence intervention and prevention initiatives.

The bill creates the community violence intervention and prevention act, establishing a fund and grant program to support community violence intervention and prevention initiatives. The fund, managed by the state treasurer, will receive money from any source and invest it to generate interest and earnings. The Office of Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Services will administer the grant program, awarding grants to community-based nonprofit organizations or eligible local units of government that demonstrate a compelling need to address community violence.
