Establishes the Office of Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Services within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The bill creates the Office of Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Services within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. The office will set statewide goals for reducing shootings, aggravated assaults, and homicides. It will publish annual guidance and standardized reporting requirements for grant recipients. The office will also serve as the coordinating entity for all community violence intervention and prevention initiatives in the state, develop best practices, and maintain data on community violence trends.
