Michigan SB0852 allows local governments to impose certain restrictions on firearms.

Michigan SB0852 amends the state law to allow local units of government to prohibit or regulate conduct with pistols, other firearms, or pneumatic guns that is a criminal offense under state law. It also allows restrictions on the transportation, carrying, or possession of firearms by local government employees. The bill permits regulation of pneumatic gun possession by minors under supervision and prohibits displaying pneumatic guns in a threatening manner. Additionally, it allows prohibitions on the open carry of firearms inside government buildings, except for law enforcement officers.
