Introduced Text

Allows public sales of foreclosed properties in Michigan to be held virtually.

This bill amends Michigan's civil procedure laws to allow public sales of mortgaged properties to be conducted virtually. The sale must be held between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and can be conducted either in person or online. If the sale is online, the platform must be secure, reliable, and accessible to all bidders. The highest bidder must pay within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. The bill also outlines procedures for adjourning sales, including posting notices in visible locations and publishing in newspapers if the adjournment exceeds one week.
