Michigan SB0501 amends the licensing process for physical therapists to incorporate the physical therapy licensure compact. This compact allows physical therapists and physical therapist assistants from other participating states to practice in Michigan under certain conditions. The bill also establishes the Michigan board of physical therapy, consisting of 11 voting members, and sets fees for licensure and compact privileges. The compact does not include identifying underlying medical problems, establishing diagnoses, or prescribing treatment.
