This bill amends the Public Utilities Act to allow independent and affiliated transmission companies to condemn property necessary for electric transmission lines. These companies must follow the same procedures and requirements as corporations under the act. The bill specifies that these companies cannot condemn property owned by electric or gas utilities or municipally owned utilities if it unreasonably disrupts their service. The Michigan Public Service Commission must determine if condemnation will cause unreasonable disruption.
