Michigan SB0339 amends the law enforcement officer separation of service record act to establish procedures for maintaining and sharing service records. The act requires former employing law enforcement agencies to create and maintain a separation of service record for each officer who separates from their employment. This record must be provided to prospective employing agencies upon request. Additionally, current employing agencies may create a provisional service record if requested by a separating officer.
