Introduced Text

Establishes a pilot program to assess the effects of PFAS on certain participants in Michigan.

The bill amends the Public Health Code to create a pilot program for assessing the effects of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on individuals who resided in specific Michigan counties and used water from public supplies or wells with PFAS levels exceeding public health screening levels. The pilot program will be conducted by an eligible research institution and funded by a dedicated PFAS pilot program fund. The program aims to study the health impacts on participants who were under 11 years old at the time of exposure.
