It allows victims who were minors at the time of the offense to bring a lawsuit up until they turn 42, or within ten years of discovering the injury and its cause, whichever is later. It also provides a one-year grace period for past occurrences if the alleged offender was convicted of criminal sexual conduct against any person. The bill limits the damages a single claimant can recover from a single defendant to $1,500,000.00 for each incident.
