Michigan SB0228 amends the 2000 Public Act 92 by adding a section that prohibits schools from providing, selling, or offering foods containing Brominated vegetable oil, Potassium bromate, Propylparaben, Titanium dioxide, or certain dyes (Red 40, Green 3, Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 6) to students starting July 1, 2026. The bill defines "school" as a public or nonpublic school under the revised school code.
