The bill creates a strategic advisory board to develop economic development plans for Michigan. The board includes voting and nonvoting members with expertise in various fields such as environment, energy, education, and innovation. Nonvoting members elect the voting members. The board must develop a strategic plan and is subject to the open meetings act and freedom of information act. Members are not compensated but can be reimbursed for expenses. The board dissolves after completing the strategic plan.
