Michigan SB0210 amends the Michigan Penal Code to prohibit the operation of unmanned aircraft systems near critical infrastructure. Specifically, it bans flying or hovering unmanned aircraft over key facilities, fire stations, correctional facilities, hospitals, dams, nuclear reactors, critical manufacturing facilities, and commercial facilities. Violators face felony charges, with penalties including up to four years in prison, a $2,500 fine, or both. The bill excludes commercial operators complying with FAA regulations.
