Michigan SB0148 modifies certificate of need requirements for outpatient imaging centers.

Michigan SB0148 amends the Public Health Code to change certificate of need requirements for certain outpatient imaging centers. It allows a person to initiate, expand, replace, relocate, or acquire positron emission tomography, magnetic resonance imager, or computerized tomography scanner services without a certificate of need if they receive written approval from the department. The bill defines "facility fee" and "outpatient imaging center" and specifies that the department must respond within 30 days to a letter of intent.
