Michigan SB0142 amends sections 100d and 756 of the Michigan mental health code to modify the composition of the state recipient rights advisory committee. The bill specifies that the committee must include 12 to 15 members broadly representing varied perspectives, with at least one-third being primary consumers or family members, and at least two of those being primary consumers. The director of the department must appoint three additional members representing Disability Rights Michigan, the Mental Health Association in Michigan, and Arc Michigan.
