Michigan SB0105 mandates health plans and nonprofit dental care corporations to offer payment methods ensuring dentists receive 100% of their due.

Michigan SB0105 amends the state's insurance laws to require health plans and nonprofit dental care corporations providing dental benefits to offer payment methods that ensure dentists receive 100% of their due without incurring fees to access the payment or reimbursement. This provision does not apply to fees imposed by the dentist's financial institution. If a dentist opts out of a payment method, that decision remains in effect until the dentist opts back in or a new contract is executed.
