Michigan SB0088 amends the Michigan Liquor Control Act to mandate that retailers pay wholesalers an administrative fee for payments dishonored by financial institutions. The fee increases with each subsequent dishonored payment within a 12-month period, starting at $50 for the first and rising to $250 for the fifth or any subsequent dishonored payment. This applies to payments made to wholesalers, the Liquor Control Commission, or the state.
