The bill amends Michigan's juvenile justice services to allow the sharing of records for research purposes. It requires the state court administrative office to maintain records of requests and releases. A data use agreement must be negotiated to protect personally identifiable information from public disclosure. Violations of these provisions are misdemeanors. The data use agreement outlines technical standards and other provisions to protect the integrity of the information. This amendatory act takes effect October 1, 2025.
