Michigan SB0015 amends earned sick time laws, increasing accrual rates and clarifying employer obligations.

Michigan SB0015 amends the earned sick time provisions of 2018 PA 338. It increases the accrual rate for small businesses to one hour per 30 hours worked, allowing up to 40 hours of paid sick time annually. Larger employers must accrue one hour per 30 hours worked, allowing up to 72 hours of paid sick time. Employers must pay employees at their normal hourly wage while using earned sick time.
