Michigan SB0009 amends the Michigan Compiled Laws to require public schools to ensure that multiple-occupancy restrooms and changing areas are used based on biological sex. Exceptions are made for custodial, maintenance, or inspection purposes, and for accompanying a pupil needing assistance. The bill defines "biological sex" as the physical condition of being male or female as stated on an individual's original birth certificate.
