Michigan HJRR amends the state constitution to change the election terms for Michigan Public Service Commission members and establish a State.

Michigan HJRR amends the state constitution to change the election terms for Michigan Public Service Commission members. Starting with the 2028 general election, three members will be elected for 4-year terms and two for 2-year terms. From 2030 onwards, all members will be elected for 4-year terms. The bill also establishes a State Officers Compensation Commission to determine salaries and expense allowances for state officers, subject to legislative approval. The commission consists of seven members appointed by the governor and meets every two years for up to 15 days.
