Michigan HB6218 amends the Michigan Business Corporation Act to restrict corporate spending in elections and ballot issues. The bill specifies that domestic and foreign corporations are prohibited from contributing money or anything of value to support or oppose candidates, political parties, political committees, or ballot questions. Exceptions include bona fide news stories, commentaries, or editorials distributed through broadcasting or print media.
