Michigan HB6166 amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to establish special operator's license requirements for certain electric mobility devices. The bill specifies that individuals under 18 years of age must obtain a special restricted license to operate a moped, class 2 electric bicycle, class 3 electric bicycle, or micromobility device with more than 500 watts of power or that has a maximum speed of more than 20 miles per hour.
