Michigan HB6154 modifies contributions to the state police Tier 2 retirement account.
Michigan HB6154 amends the state police retirement system to change how contributions are made to the Tier 2 account. Effective from the date of the amendatory act, employers must contribute up to 4% of a member's compensation to the Tier 2 plan for members who join after June 9, 2012. Members themselves can contribute up to 2% of their compensation. These contributions replace any health insurance premium that would have been paid by the retirement system.
