This bill amends the Michigan Compiled Laws to allow local governments to regulate land development on college- or university-owned land through zoning ordinances. The regulations can include designating or limiting the location, height, bulk, number of stories, uses, and size of buildings and structures. The authority of local governments extends to land acquired by the University of Michigan on or after January 1, 2027. The regulations must be uniform for each class of land or buildings within a district.
