Michigan HB6115 modifies road funding allocation for local units hosting international airports with over 2 million enplaned passengers.

Michigan HB6115 amends road funding allocation for local units hosting international airports with over 2 million enplaned passengers. Cities and villages with such airports receive a population multiplier of three for funding calculations. Funds must be used for road construction, resurfacing, maintenance, traffic signal improvements, safety improvements, and drainage on roads bearing airport-related traffic. Counties and local units must report annually on how increased funding is spent, road condition ratings, and estimated traffic volume.
