Allows foreign language requirement to be satisfied with career and technical education credits.

This bill amends the Michigan Merit Curriculum to allow students to satisfy the foreign language requirement with credits earned through a career and technical education program. It also modifies the requirements for high school diplomas, including changes to mathematics, science, and personal finance courses. The bill specifies that a school district or public school academy may grant a pupil a credit if the pupil successfully completes a department-approved formal career and technical education program or curriculum that aligns with the subject area content expectations developed by the.
