Michigan HB6056 amends the Michigan Labor Relations Act to require certain employers to display a poster describing employee rights under the National Labor Relations Act at work sites and provide it to employees in digital format. The Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity will create the poster using National Labor Relations Board publications and may seek their assistance. Employers violating this requirement face civil fines of $5,000 for a first violation and $10,000 for subsequent violations, collected by the county prosecutor or attorney general and deposited in the general fund.
