Requires Michigan courts to consider veteran status in sentencing.

This bill amends Michigan's criminal sentencing procedures to require courts to consider a defendant's veteran status when determining the recommended minimum sentence range. If the court finds a clear connection between the offense and a condition from the offender's military service, the lower limit of the recommended minimum sentence range can be 0 months. The bill also includes definitions for terms used in the sentencing process.
