Introduced Text

Requires the Michigan Department of Treasury and the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget to jointly provide an online property tax.

The bill mandates that the Michigan Department of Treasury and the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget jointly maintain an online property tax calculator. This tool will allow individual and business taxpayers to estimate their current property taxes and compare them with other local units throughout the state. The calculator will include all the capabilities of the previous millage rate database and property tax estimator provided by the Department of Treasury, along with the ability to estimate property taxes based on the street address of the property.
