Allows certain individuals to report fraud, waste, abuse, misappropriation, or misuse of state funds to the auditor general and establishes.

This bill amends the State Administrative Procedures Act to allow individuals employed in the news industry or acting as independent journalists to report fraud, waste, abuse, misappropriation, or misuse of state funds to the auditor general. The auditor general must review these reports and may investigate, audit, disregard, or forward them to other state entities. If the auditor general disregards a report, they must notify the attorney general.
